This smoothie is great for days when your tummy is just not right. Very settling and energizing, this is makes a quart, which lasts 24 hours, so you can have one in the morning, and one when you're tired later in the day. Or you can save one for tomorrow's breakfast!
about 1 quart - 2 glasses
1 c. pineapple - about 2" slice of a pre-peeled pineapple
fresh ginger to taste (I use about 1/2 T.)
1/2 lemon, rind and inner flesh (remove white pith)
fennel tops (I use about 4" of 2 stalks)
2 T. hemp seed
2 T. chia seed
1 1/2 cups liquid (water, coconut milk, green tea, chaga mushroom tea)
A few ice cubes
Place all in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. If you need a sweeter taste, add in a little honey.
